Beware the ‘Harry Potter’ spam email

Beware falling under the ”spell” of this too-good-to-be-true offer.
With the first of an epic two-part final instalment of the Harry Potter series due to be released early next month, internet security firm Symantec has issued a spam alert on unsolicited emails surrounding the mega movie event.
In particular, it said spammers are taking advantage of the hype by promoting fake offers and asking users for their personal information.
The fake offer asks readers to sign up to get all seven books from British author J.K Rowling’s hit series about a teen wizard who attends classes in a school for magicians. To encourage sign-ups, free movie tickets for Part I of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” are being dangled as reward.

But after the “submit” button is clicked, users will be asked to provide their email address and other personal data before they are redirected to a “complimentary offer” of a four days/three nights stay in a luxury resort in Cancun, Mexico.

This is a very dangerous email that can cause spams to your inbox. These spams can be very irritating.
